soho house chicago

Soho House is a private club and hotel in West Loop, located in a former Chicago Belting Factory warehouse.  The interiors are artsy, with an eclectic mix of bohemian, modern, and urban pieces, while remaining elegant with an edgy flair.  It’s definitely worth checking out.  Enjoy a craft cocktail while soaking in the atmosphere. – Dana Lundin

industrial faucet

We recently finished a kitchen renovation where we needed to source a one of a kind, industrial faucet. We found this piece, made from a designer in New York, who developed this faucet as a prototype for a high end plumbing fixture line.  – Megan Paul

San Francisco Bay

While departing on a recent trip to California, not wanting to leave, I took a detour on my way back to the airport. On Fish Ranch Road, you can climb the mountain to get to this beautiful site. Across the bay you can see San Francisco, Oakland and even Berkley. The fog that rolls across the bay really set the mood on this fall day. – Andrea Garvey

exotic footstools

While sourcing furnishings for a client, we stumbled across these Mongolian sheepskin and exotic hide footstools. What a unique way to incorporate texture into a design. – Dana Lundin

brown lace up boots

Although I’m still getting used to the weather getting cold, I love getting the chance to wear boots! I love wearing this vintage pair with socks, tights and a dress. It’s the perfect combo for fall weather. – Megan Davey

capelli specialty leather

Our Garrett Leather rep visited us last week to show us the latest collections they have to offer. I loved this specialty line that has hair on hides that have been laser cut and painted with metallic paints. They are absolutely stunning in person. – Megan Davey

The J Parker Chicago

One of what I believe to be the best views of Chicago is from The J. Parker, the rooftop bar above the Lincoln Hotel in Lincoln Park. There’s a great view, not only of the lake, but the skyline of the city as well. It’s one of my favorite summer places to enjoy a drink with friends. – Megan Davey

metal and linen window treatments

This custom window treatment we had installed in a client’s home has a cornice made from Zinc Textiles fabric. It is a linen base fabric with stands of metal thread in it.  The metal provides an interesting contrast from the soft linen.  – Megan Paul

iowa state autumn

While traveling to my alma mater for a football game, I noticed all the beautiful trees with leaves already starting to change. Autumn is my favorite time of the year, the colors are inspiring and the breeze is soothing.  – Andrea Garvey
